This policy describes how the Private Album app handles information. It is provided for transparency and for App Store Connect. It does not constitute legal advice.
Summary
Private Album keeps the photos and videos you choose in a locked vault on your device, optionally synced through your own private iCloud. We cannot see your content. We do not require you to create an account, we show no ads, and we run no analytics.
Your vault
Imported originals and thumbnails are stored in the app’s private container on your device. Deleting an item in the app deletes its local files immediately; cloud copies are deleted from your private iCloud database as connectivity allows.
Private iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud with iCloud Drive enabled, vault files sync through Apple’s CloudKit private database tied to your Apple ID. Only devices signed in with the same Apple ID can access them. We operate no servers of our own and cannot read synced content.
Photo library
The app requests photo-library access so you can import the items you select and export or delete originals when you ask. Reads and deletes are limited to the items you choose and confirm. Permission scope is controlled by your choices in iOS Settings.
Lock and biometrics
Your app password is stored in the iOS Keychain on your device. Face ID / Touch ID only unlocks the device Keychain entry; biometric data never leaves your device and is never sent to us.
Purchases
Pro purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple and our commerce provider RevenueCat. We receive only purchase status (for example whether Pro is active), not your payment details. See Terms § Subscriptions for billing details.
Data we do not sell
We do not sell your personal information. We show no ads and run no analytics SDKs.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The “updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
